 VISA CHECK- LIST

1. Contact the Korean Embassy in your country by January 8, 2010 in order to apply for a visa. Processing a visa may take several weeks (It takes longer for Chinese students). To locate the Korean Embassy in your country, please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea (MOFAT) website : www.mofat.go.kr

2. Valid passport (Make sure that the passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended visit).

3. Make sure that your visa is valid for the duration of your stay.

4. Bring evidence of a return flight (Make sure when you enter Korea that you have a return flight. One-way flights are not accepted. You will be asked to provide evidence that you have a return flight).

5. If you have any questions, you may contact the Korean Embassy in your country. Then, you can locate the web site of the Embassy by going to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea.



 Visa Application

1. The delegates from the countries that have visa waiver agreements with Korea can enter without visas, on the condition that they do not engage in remunerative work during their stay in Korea.

2. Visa application should be made at Korean Embassies or Consulates.

3. Visa applicants are required to submit a passport, an application form, a recent color photograph of passport-size(3.5ек4.5), and other documents depending on the status of stay.

4. Visa application fees
a. Single entry visa for a stay of no more than 90 days: RMB 240
b. Single entry visa for a stay of more than 90 days: RMB 400
c. Multiple entry visas: RMB 640
d. Extension of Reentry Permit: RMB 160

* For Citizens of United States of America, multiple entry visa fee is $45 on the basis of reciprocity since the mutual agreement in 1994.
