 Application Essay Guidelines
All delegates must submit two essays and an application form.
1. 1st Essay : Essay for every applicant. (Less than 300 words)
Please briefly introduce yourself in regards to the 2 key phrases given.
"Your Life, Reasons for Applying for NEAN 2010"
2. 2nd Essay : Choose one session that you are most interested in.
You are to choose one from Politics/ Culture /Environment /Economy. Then, write an essay for the workshop session you chose. (Less than 500 words)
*Refer to the essay topics given on the next few pages.
*You do not need to choose a session that is related to your major.
You may select a workshop session that reflects your personal interests.
*During the forum, each delegate will participate in one of the 4 workshop sessions.
Those delegates assigned to Environment and Economy sessions will participate in an integrated session.
* Each essay should be written using MS Word. Please use Times New Roman, font size 12. br>
* The application deadline (for the both the application form and essays) is December 31st, 2009.
The application progress will be considered complete only when all required documents have been sent to nean@yonsei.ac.kr. Result for successful applicants will be announced on January 4th, 2010..
(Essays will be marked using the NEAN 2010 Essay Grading Criteria.)

Essay Question(Short Version)
Politics
Q) What could be an example of a 'Human Rights Based Approach to Development' that you can apply to your own life?
Culture
Q) Given the importance of understanding culture in brand creation, how can we make culture help Asian brands gain competitiveness in the global market?
Environment
Q) What is your attitude toward environmental issue? Tell us your opinion and state specific reasons.
Economy
Q)What do you think is the most problematic barrier against the Asian Economic prosperity/development? Use specific examples.
