Dear NEAN 2010 participants

Welcome to NEAN 2010! We are very pleased and happy to invite all of you to our annual NEAN 2010 gathering arranged by Yonsei Institute for Leadership Development. On behalf of our staffs, I would like to extend my genuine gratitude to the participants and speakers who came from abroad. I am looking forward to NEAN 2010 with the enthusiasm and supports from you.

Yonsei Leadership center is responsible for providing opportunities to Yonsei Undergraduate students in exploring global environment and exchanging new perspectives with partners abroad. We encourage international exchange of ideas and culture among the young and promising students of the global society. In order to achieve this goal, the international division is currently running several programs each year. Without doubt, NEAN forum is one of the very core programs of the international division, and I am honored to be a part of this forum.

This year we have carefully selected four major areas of discussion within the general theme of Transcending the Boundaries of Northeast Asia. Also, we have tried our best to invite the most qualified speakers in each panel. In particular, selection of student delegation from each country was processed in a very fair and objective manner.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee members and staffs of NEAN 2009. This is my first experience of arranging and preparing for NEAN. However, thanks to the wholehearted devotion and sacrifice of Yonsei organizing staffs, headed by Kim, I am confid ent that we will be ready for another exciting and successful NEAN event. Also, I can not thank enough to t he generous financial support of NEAN 2010 sponsors. I wish NEAN 2010 would be a memorable international arena where every participant enjoys the sessions, collaborates together, and becomes a lifetime friend each other. Thank you.
