Welcome to NEAN 2010!

It is my pleasure to open 'Yonsei Leadership Forum-NEAN 2010', a gathering to search for development and prosperity of Northeast Asia in the 21st century.

With rapid globalization in recent years, Northeast Asia has drawn worldwide attention due to its political and economic significance. To increase Northeast Asia's influence and its contribution to world peace, it is necessary to develop new strategy for spurring economic growth and solving complex issues across the countries. Therefore, NEAN supports to raise young leaders who shoulder the region's future prosperity. Throughout the forum, students at the top universities of Northeast Asia will have opportunities to extend their learning and to form a intellectual community. our ideals and goals, we need more than ever along with the passion, courage, and creative mind of our young intellectuals.

'Asia: Cherish the past, challenge the future', the main theme of NEAN 2010 is sending important messages to us. This forum will enable young future leaders to understand furthermore all of the four topics and provide innovative ideas to current leaders. We hope that NEAN 2010 will promote your global friendship and leadership. You, as representing students of your country, are the stars of this event. I sincerely ask for your creative ideas and active participation which is directly related to the success of the conference.
